The Prothero counselling service has been running for more than 30 years. We have a team of volunteer counsellors who are qualified or completing recognised professional qualifications who work to a high standard in accordance with BACP guidelines. We have daytime and some evening appointments. Our clients can come as individuals or couples.
The aim of Helping Hands is to improve the quality of life and assist people to live as independently as possible. We recruit and co-ordinate volunteers to work with older people, living in their own homes.
The aim of the befriending service is to improve the individual choices and quality of life of vulnerable people by offering friendship and support to isolated and mostly older people living in the local community.
Wirral Third Sector Assembly (3SA) is a membership of local third sector organisations and supports the creation of local networks and partnership working. It is brought together by Voluntary and Community Action Wirral (VCAW) to improve communication across the sector, to grow its ability toinfluence and to strengthen relationships with the public sector to improve outcomes for local people.

Whatever you'd like to do, using computers and the internet could save you time, hassle and money. You could find a new job, help your kids with homework, contact friends and family or even do your weekly shop, all online. UK online centres provide people with access to computers and the internet, together with help and advice on how to use them.
Wirral ProHelp provides free professional advice and support to local community groups and voluntary organisations. The aim is to ensure that local community groups can access free professional help and advice with issues that might otherwise hinder their work and projects.
The Compact is an agreement between the public sector and the voluntary and community sector. The Compact provide guidance which the relationship between the sectors can be developed and strengthened for the benefit of the communities we serve.
Carelink is a Community Support Service for the West Kirby, Hoylake, Meols, Greasby, Frankby and Upton areas which provides help for older and/or disabled people, their families and carers.
The success of VCA Wirral and it's projects relies upon the dedicated support of our team of more than 200 volunteers.
In addition to the internal volunteering opportunities on offer, each of our sites is host to one of the Volunteer Centres which make up part of Volunteering Wirral.
The Local Involvement Networks are a Government initiative to enable people to voice their views, opinions, ideas and suggestions into the centre of Health and Social Care provision.
The Support Team (Karen, Elaine, Phil and Lisa) will assist by researching and fact finding to enable the LINk to make informed suggestions and recommendations to NHS Trust and Local Authority. The role of the LINk is NOT to duplicate work already being done but to complement it.
